Academic Career Upgraded – Freelancing on the Side: A Possibility for Scientists?
Many researchers extend their expertise beyond academia through consulting, contract research, or specialized training. But how can freelancing fit into an academic career? Can it be a sustainable path or a valuable side activity?
In April’s session, we’ll explore the opportunities and challenges of freelancing for scientists. In cooperation with Steinbeis, we’ll discuss how transfer projects can be structured within a reliable framework. Frank Graage (CEO, Steinbeis Transfer) will provide insights into how researchers can engage in entrepreneurial activities while maintaining their academic careers. Through two real-world case studies from researchers (tbd), we’ll explore how to create impact, gain financial independence, and become part of a network of over 5,000 experts.
