A Greenhouse for Curious Minds
Do you have an idea inspired by your research or expertise, but are not yet sure where it could lead?
idea2action is a free three-month programme for researchers who want to take an early idea further. It provides a structured, trust-based space to step outside the day-to-day research environment, explore the idea from new perspectives and work towards a meaningful next step.
Across three full co-working days, you will shape and challenge your idea, exchange with peers and experts, and explore where it could create value.
You bring the idea and drive its development. idea2action provides the time, structure, exchange and connections to move it forward.
You do not need a finished concept, business model or startup plan — an initial idea connected to your research, expertise or professional experience is enough.
How does the programme works ?
idea2action is built around three interactive co-working days in Adlershof, designed to move your early ideas forward through focused input, hands-on work, exchange and feedback.
The three days build on one another: you will work both individually and with the group, connect with peers and experts, and use each session to sharpen your idea, and open up new perspectives, opportunities and next steps.

Between the sessions
The development continues between the three co-working days.
Depending on your idea, this might lead towards a collaboration, pilot project, service concept, funding application, further validation, transfer pathway or entrepreneurial venture etc. There is no predefined destination. The aim is to identify the next step that makes sense for your idea. You will work on manageable tasks, exchange with other participants and have access to informal feedback from the organising team.
Depending on where your idea leads, the team may also connect you with relevant experts, programmes, support structures, potential partners or other useful contacts.
Attendance at all three co-working days is required.
Our working philosophy
We welcome ideas that aim to create economic, societal, environmental or institutional value. Ideas whose primary purpose is military, weapons-related or defence-oriented fall outside the scope of the programme.
Idea2action supports civilian and socially responsible applications of research. We provide a respectful and trust-based workspace.
It is of utmost importance for this programme that all communication be at eye-level, regardless of professional background, faith, geographic origin, cultural background, gender, or skin colour.

Campus Club – idesa2action is a joint programme by WISTA Management GmbH, Helmholtz-Zentrums Berlin Transfer Office and Humboldt-Innovation.
