With two excellent specialists in lasers, single photon counting applications

To meet the increased requirements of a high quality customer support and service level resulting from a continuous growth, PicoQuant has strengthened its sales and marketing team with two excellent specialists in lasers, single photon counting applications and confocal microscopy. 

Dr. Susanne Trautmann joined the sales and marketing team as application specialist in advanced microscopic techniques at the beginning of this year. With extensive experience in advanced imaging technology, especially in-vivo Fluorescence (Cross-) Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS) and Fluorescence Lifetimes Imaging (FLIM), she will strengthen the sales and customer support with respect to confocal microscopy and spectroscopy systems. Dr. Trautmann comes to PicoQuant from EMBL Heidelberg where she pushed the limits of in-vivo FCCS to a new dimension to quantify whole protein network interactoms in living cells.

Dr. Christian Litwinski, who joined PicoQuant in February, will be accountable for the sale of components, especially for pulsed laser sources and photon counting instrumentation. Furthermore, he will be responsible for the support of the spectrometer customers, e.g. the new “FluoTime 300”. Dr. Litwinski has worked for the Rhodes University Chemistry Department in Grahamstown, South Africa, before he joined PicoQuant. As nanotechnology specialist in the Nanotechnology Innovation Centre (DST/Mintek NIC) he was responsible for different laser setups like flash photolysis, Ge-Detector for singlet oxygen detection and time-correlated single photon counting.
