For the second time, the Berlin Adlershof Science and Technology Park will host the Photonik Tage Berlin Brandenburg (Photonics Days Berlin Brandenburg) on 17 and 18 October 2018. More than 500 expected visitors include guests and delegations from many European countries as well as from the U.S., Japan, Brazil, and Israel.

55 exhibitors (companies and scientific institutions) have registered for the Photonik Tage. 85 representatives from the industry, 65 from research institutions as well as 10 from politics, industry associations and project sponsors will give presentations across 9 workshops. Topics include quantum optics, networked sensor systems, laser technologies, micro spectrometer and PolyPhotonics. In addition, the EPRISE European Photonics Roadshow on biomedical technologies will take part in this year’s Photonic Days.

Christian Rickerts, Permanent Secretary in Berlin’s Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises will visit the exhibition in Adlershof on 17 Oct. 2018, and will then give the opening address of the evening reception. Also on 18 October  art photonics GmbH of Adlershof will hold a reception celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The Photonik Tage Berlin Brandenburg are the most significant photonics industry event in the region of Germany’s capital. They are hosted by Photonics Cluster Berlin Brandenburg and funded by Berlin Partner for Business and Technology GmbH, Optec-Berlin-Brandenburg (OpTecBB) e.V. and Brandenburg Invest (WFBB). The Photonik Tage Berlin Brandenburg succeed the trade show “Laser Optics Berlin” (later renamed “micro photonics”), which was originally founded in the Adlershof Technology Park in 1996, all the while making its own mark.
